Slytherin in you

Two strange incidents from my childhood that still bother me.....

I was looking at an old SA thread about strange childhood memories... it was mostly just people posting about strange occurences that happened when they were kids or memories that they remember in great detail but everyone else claims it never happened.

Well I have two in particular that have bothered the hell out of me for YEARS. Just click the cuts.

I have an entire weekend missing from my childhood. I was staying at my cousin's house for a week or so. They lived out in the middle of nowhere and had a large farm-like land with horses, cows, sheep and stuff. I would always go out and pet the horses and run from the evil geese... Well one day I am out petting the horses and I walk over to a lamb and start petting it. THen I see a sheep. Then I woke up in bed, covered in bruises, cuts and scuffs and the mother of all headaches.
I got up and asked my Aunt what happened.

Me: Sherill? What happened?

Sherill: Would you stop asking me that! You came to the gate!

I had no idea what she mean't by that. So I went and asked my older cousins.

Me: Robert, what happened?

Robert: You came to the gate and I got you a band aide and some ice.

I asked my other cousin and she said the same thing. I looked at the calender and it had been three days since the last thing I had remembered. I remembered walking outside on friday morning to see the horses and now it was Monday night. I asked my Aunt if my parents knew that I was knocked out. She didn't know what the hell I was talking about. She said that I had been walking around the house, watching cartoons, playing various video games, drawing and playing with the cats, like I normally would. I was confused as fuck!

My cousin then told me that I probably hit my head (thank you, Captain Obvious, I had a huge fucking bruise on the side of my face!) but she didn't believe that I couldn't remember what happened. She said I was probably climbing the fence just like I was told not to. They believed me even less later that day when I said that I wanted to watch Sword in the Stone because I had started watching it several days before but never got to watch the whole thing because my Uncle wanted to watch tv. They thought that just because I had remembered what happened early in the week that I must know what happened over the last few days.

Well, it's been years since... probably about 10 or more and I still have no idea what the fuck happened. I have lost two days of memory and when I try to recall what happened there is nothing there. It's just blank. To this day I just assume that that stupid sheep ran into me and knocked me down or I fell and it stepped on me.

I remember in Kindergarden through 2nd grade I would go play alone on the playground during recess. There was a jungle gym far out in the middle of the field that I would play on that nobody else would. I remember going out there and some days it would be gone... if that was the case I would go and sit on the swings. The next day or a few days later it would be back again. This large jungle gym would just "go missing" at random. I never really thought anything of it. (Note that this was not a removable piece of equipment... it was cemented into the ground...)

Many, many years later when I went with my mother to pick up my sister from the same school I noticed it was gone. When I mentioned it to her teacher (who had been my teacher), asking if she knew why they removed it, she said that the school never, ever had playground equipment out in the field because they didn't want kids playing out that far away from the buildings and supervision.

So really now, WHAT THE FUCK did I do every recess for THREE years?

Does anyone else have strange memories? Or any stories of weird childhood shit?

Whoa, that's freaking creepy. XD What the hell? How is that even explainable. Heh.

I have weird things like that, too. But it makes you wonder if you're recalling it wrong or something... I'm trying to remember them clearly... I think there were a few...

I do recall standing outside when I was nine... We were outside, talking about scary movies, and we were all alone. It was out in the middle of the desert where they'd decided to build a few houses. Anyway, it was early and we were standing next to the house so we'd be able to see someone if they were close.

All of a sudden, we heard this fucking FREAKY clown laugh. Kinda like a cartoon clown would laugh, you know? It makes my eyes water to think of it. You know how they do that when I'm scared. XD It was so freaky. Loud, like it was right next to us. It almost didn't sound like something a person could have done without a computer or something. And we looked at each other and at the same time said, "I'm going back inside!"

That was some weirdness that I never figured out... And then something else really weird that happened when I was living in these apartment buildings with my dad. Probably eleven or so.

My friend and I were in the bath... yes, I took baths with my friends for a long time. Lol. But we were in the bath, the door locked and I heard the TV turn on so I said, "Hi daddy!" thinking he'd come home. But no one answered.

She and I kinda looked at each other, and then kept talking.

Then I heard the door slam. So I called out again and no one answered. We started freaking by then, listening and trying to figure out what it was we were hearing.

Suddenly we heard a huge crash, like something being knocked over. Right after, there was the sound of footsteps in the hallway. Slow, heavy. Like a man's. The footsteps stopped in front of the doorway and we could see the shoes under the crack. Of course, we started screaming and I think we were both crying, freaking out.

Then the shoes walked away but this time there was no sound.

We sat there, terrified, for a good hour, before my dad came home and asked us why the large chair in the kitchen was knocked over. It was a BIG heavy chair, with wheels on the legs, meaning it could not have fallen over on accident.

But as I got older, I tried to put logic to it. Tell myself we imagined it. There was no reason why any of it would happen. So I never dwelled on it. But now and then I'll remember it and get a bad feeling. x__x
Aaah that's so freak Justine! I remember when I was about 6 I think or 7. I was living at Jughandle farm and I was making ant traps out of peanut butter and jelly when I decided to lay down on the floor and I don't remember what I thought or anything but I clearly remember floating off the ground. I also remember trying to do it again and again but I never could repeat the incident.

I live a boring life.

I don't have any cousins with ranches, grandparents that live at old creepy houses, or uncles that were in show business. I never did, growing up. I had a grandmother that I used to play chess with sometimes.

I had normal friends too. I'd play on the playground during recess, and play on my Sega Genesis or at my friends' houses in the evenings and during summer vacation.

Well...I was a bit weird on the playground. I'd always walk around on the narrow boards that separated the chips from the grass, and swing between poles really fast (such as the poles for the chin-up bars). Those aren't strange things happening though, those are just examples of me being weird.

Really, I've lived a dull life. It's been entertaining in its own way, but I don't have any cool stories from it, and thus I always like hearing others' stories.
